The content of the first issue mainly includes papers on the WW2 period, covering a whole spectrum of Polish-Jewish relations during this most difficult trial. Both negative and positive experiences are dealt with. The annual journal ends with reviews of notable and sometimes controversial research studies released in recent years, reports from historical conferences, and descriptions of projects aimed at preserving the memory of Polish Jews.
